RIVERVIEWS
Portland Oregon is a city located at the confluence of the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. Although it lies some 85 Miles from the mouth of the Columbia River, it still experiences the tidal rhythms. Portland owes its existence to the junction of river port and railroads. Most of this series is from my (Blurb) book, 25 River Views on the Lower Willamette. It concerns itself with the river downstream of downtown, much of which has been so abused over the years to earn itself the distinction of being named as a toxic superfund site.
